Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

This Privacy Policy describes how [LEGAL COMPANY NAME], with registered office at [ADDRESS] and tax identification number [VAT NUMBER] (hereinafter "RHC", "we"), processes the personal data of users of the RHC platform, accessible through the rhc.pt domain and its subdomains (the "Service"). RHC is the data controller for the personal data collected through the Service, under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and applicable national law. 2. Data We Collect

Within the Service, we may process the following categories of personal data:

  • Candidate data: name, email address, telephone number, postal address, information contained in the curriculum vitae (education, professional experience, skills, languages), and any information the candidate chooses to include in their application;
  • Test and questionnaire responses: results of assessment tests and personality or situational questionnaires administered during the recruitment process;
  • Recruiter data: name, email address and details of the organisation they belong to, necessary to create and manage the account;
  • Technical data: information collected automatically for operational and security reasons, as described in our Cookie Policy.

3. How We Collect Data

We collect personal data: (i) directly from the data subject, when the candidate completes the application form, uploads their curriculum vitae or answers tests and questionnaires; (ii) from the recruiter, when they create an account and publishes opportunities; and (iii) as generated by the Service, including the results of the analysis and screening of applications described in Section 5.

4. Purposes of Processing

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • to manage and process applications to job opportunities;
  • to assess candidates' suitability for opportunities, including through the analysis described in Section 5;
  • to communicate with candidates and recruiters about the status of applications and the stages of the process;
  • to create and manage user accounts;
  • to ensure the security, proper functioning and improvement of the Service;
  • to comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence

The Service uses artificial intelligence systems to support the recruitment process, namely to: (i) extract and organise information contained in curricula; and (ii) analyse the suitability of applications against the requirements of the opportunities, producing a summary and a supporting classification. This analysis is auxiliary in nature: it is intended to support the recruiter, who retains control of the process and makes the final decision on each application. No decisions producing legal effects concerning the candidate, or similarly significantly affecting them, are taken solely by automated means without human intervention. The candidate has the right to request information about the logic involved in this analysis, to express their point of view and to contest any assessment, by contacting us through the means indicated in Section 14.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of personal data is based on the following legal grounds, depending on the purpose:

  • the performance of pre-contractual steps at the request of the data subject, and the legitimate interest in managing recruitment processes, as regards the assessment of applications;
  • the consent of the data subject, where applicable and where it has been obtained, namely at the time of submitting the application;
  • compliance with legal obligations to which RHC is subject.

The candidate may withdraw their consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal.

7. Who We Share Data With

RHC does not sell personal data. We may share personal data with:

  • The recruiting organisation to which the candidate applies, for the purposes of assessing and managing the application;
  • Processors that provide technological services necessary for the operation of the Service, namely: database infrastructure and hosting, application hosting and delivery, processing by artificial intelligence models, and sending email communications. These processors process data only in accordance with our instructions and under contracts that ensure data protection;
  • Public authorities, where required by law.

8. International Data Transfers

Some of our processors may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Whenever this occurs, RHC ensures that the transfer is carried out under appropriate safeguards provided for in the GDPR, namely standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or an applicable adequacy decision, so as to ensure a level of protection equivalent to that of the European Economic Area.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for the period necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including the management of the recruitment process, and for compliance with applicable legal obligations. After that period, data is deleted or anonymised. The candidate may request the deletion of their data at any time, in accordance with Section 10.

10. Data Subject Rights

Under the GDPR, the data subject has the right to:

  • access their personal data and obtain information about its processing;
  • request the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request the erasure of their data ("right to be forgotten"), in the cases provided for by law;
  • request the restriction of processing;
  • object to processing, in the cases provided for by law;
  • request the portability of their data;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, the data subject may contact us through the means indicated in Section 14.

11. Data Security

RHC adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction or improper disclosure, including access controls, backups and recovery mechanisms. No system is entirely secure, but we are committed to maintaining measures that are reasonable and proportionate to the nature of the data processed.

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy, available at rhc.pt/cookies. There you will find information about the cookies used and how to manage your preferences.

13. Changes to This Policy

RHC may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The version in force will always be the one published on this page, indicating the date of the last update. We recommend that you consult this page periodically. Substantial changes may be communicated through appropriate means.

The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, in Portugal the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), if they consider that the processing of their personal data infringes applicable law.
